Beaverton, Oregon. Owner: Fr. Robert Gross. Winemaker: Gilles de Domingo

Organic and biodynamic wines from the slopes of an ancient volcano. Cooper Mountain Vineyards got its start in 1978 when Dr. Robert Gross and his wife, Corrine, planted the first Pinot Noir and Chardonnay vines. The use of natural preparations, rather than manmade chemicals, works to enhance the vines by repairing and building the soils to provide ideal growing conditions.

Washington Wines
Washington is the 2nd largest wine-producing state. There are over 650 wineries in Washington; most of them quite small. In contrast to the "factory" wineries that produce much of the wine in the U.S. today, the winemakers we feature have a true passion for their craft.
